Featured Practice Area

Focused Religious Worker Immigration Practice

Experienced legal guidance for religious organizations, ministers, missionaries, and qualifying religious workers.

Religious worker immigration is a significant focus of New Beacon Law Group. We assist religious organizations and religious workers with R-1 temporary religious worker petitions and qualifying EB-4 special immigrant religious worker matters.

These cases often require more than completing immigration forms. USCIS may closely review the religious organization, denominational relationship, nonprofit documentation, religious membership, position qualifications, proposed duties, compensation, work location, work schedule, and the organization's ability to support the offered position.

Our team understands the documentation and organizational issues that frequently arise in religious worker cases. We work carefully with petitioning organizations and beneficiaries to develop a clear, consistent, and well-supported filing.

R-1 Religious Worker Visa

The R-1 classification may allow a qualifying religious worker to work temporarily in the United States for an eligible religious organization. We assist with initial petitions, changes or extensions of status, amended petitions, consular processing preparation, worksite documentation, compensation evidence, and responses to Requests for Evidence.

EB-4 Special Immigrant Religious Worker

Qualifying ministers and other eligible religious workers may have options under the EB-4 special immigrant religious worker classification. We assist with organizational and beneficiary eligibility review, Form I-360 supporting evidence, adjustment of status preparation when available, consular processing coordination, and responses to government inquiries. Eligibility, visa availability, and the availability of certain non-minister religious worker classifications depend on current law and government authorization.

Experience Working with Religious Communities

New Beacon Law Group has experience working with religious organizations and communities from diverse traditions and backgrounds. Our professional relationships with religious institutions help us understand how different organizations document their doctrines, governance, membership, religious activities, personnel, compensation, and ministry needs.

We have assisted numerous religious organizations and religious workers with immigration filings and have obtained favorable outcomes in qualifying matters. Every case is different, and prior results do not guarantee or predict the outcome of any future matter.

Past results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome. Each matter depends on its own facts, evidence, applicable law, visa availability, and government decision-making.
